Acer nitro 5 screen replaced now my computer doesn't turn on

Acer nitro 5 AN515-57, had for one year

My laptop slid off its tray from the couch, about 4ft, land on hard floor. Screen went black with some broken pixels. I was able to hook up to a second moniter and everything seems to be running okay. After reaching out to some local repair shops and doing some research, I decided it was worth me trying to replace the screen myself. I order a replacement screen and tools from amazon. Had no issues removing nor replacing the screen. I have not charged my laptop since the drop and it was hooked up to charger when dropped. It was at about 10% battery when screen was replaced. Video i was following didn’t remove battery so neither did I. Went to turn on the computer and charging light flashed orange, plugged it in and no charging light, pushed the power button orange charging light and blue power light flash and go off computer doesn’t boot up. Tried putting broken screen to see if faulty screen and same thing. Did I fry my computer? Could it just be dead and the charging port not working? Any advice for a newbie who has never worked on a computer. I do have basic knowledge from a factory job and soldering computer chips there.

Hello i recently experienced this on my acer predator laptop. What i did is I that i removed the battery connection and press the power button for at least 30 seconds. reconnect the batery and turn on the laptop. hope this helps

Thanks I will try that. I took it to a shop that looked it over and they think i fried my motherboard. apparently the ribbon cable can’t be even slightly sideways, according to this tech which was not mentioned in the tutorial i watched or i would have paid more attention to this fact. He couldnt get it to power on even without the battery plugged in. I kept the laptop and ordered a new one. I figured i would try solutions to fix the old, if i do i do if i don’t i don’t…
