EDM-020 No 5V & 1.35V RAM Power up voltage

Hi, I have an EDM-020 that I’m trying to fix.

At standby all voltages are present and the startup current also seems to be normal. The issue is that the 5V Start -up voltage doesn’t seem to work.

Near F3502 I keep having 0V. I traced it back to the mosfets not outputting any. The gate of the first mosfet should be tied to 3219A. There’s also no 5V output here. It does get 12V input so that rail is working.

I measured pin 2 of the 3219A which should be signal that i can start outputting if I read the datasheet correctly. This also has no voltage.

I am not sure where to look further for what could cause the 3219A to not work properly. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Board: EDM-020
Standby current: 0.007
Power-up current: 330-350 mA
Symptoms: Single beeb, no light

Not 100% sure but I doubt F3501 OR F3502 area (front USB vbus) voltages are after SSD/CPU becomes LIVE/on. You prob need to fix no light/one beep issue first

I’ve measured everything again and found shorts on the large IC near the ethernet port. From what I found, this IC is directly connected to the southbridge so it might be this one that is defective. I’ll try replacing that IC.

Since I don’t have any southbridges, I’ll update this post after it arrived and I tried it.

Just wanted to give an update. Replacing the southbridge fixed the PS5
