I recently bought a new 2ds xl with the goal of using it for streaming. It was advertised as “Luma Bricked”, but turns out it was only a CTRNAND corruption and no big deal.
Unfortunately, little did I know it was only the beginning…
I think it’s important to says the precedent owner fixed the upper screen himself ,and the shells ,plastic are really damaged, and the sound slider don’t even exist on the Motherboard anymore.
Once I got the console, I’ve noticed instability, sometimes it would gives me a Luma ARM11 crash ,sometimes telling the CTRNAND can’t be mounted, B9S lights telling me the CTRNAND is corrupted, sometimes everything at once.
And sometimes booting and freeze ,or just boot and I could play games. I assumed it was because of the corruption
I’ve put in a micro SD card with all the needed stuff for an hacked console, and upon checking the CTRNAND with GM9 I realised it wasn’t corrupted. I assumed the precedent owner SD card got corrupted and Luma security copied corrupted files onto the CTRNAND when .
I got a GM9 crash ,but thought it was no big deal. (little did I know GM9 crash are so exceptional, and getting one is either very extreme unlucky , or hardware problems)
Played hours and hours ,streaming with it ,with absolutely no problems.
3 days later ,it did a reboot on it’s own, then suddenly I got (without crashes, it just switched to the error screen after freezing and colored colors on top screen) the CTRNAND can’t be mounted error.
Managed to play fine with it right after.
The next day ,it crashed mid game, and it wouldn’t reboot anymore. It was behaving like when I got it, and this time telling me my SD firm was also corrupted. 10 minutes later everything was fine.
The SD card I’ve put in is very sturdy and made for servers. It don’t get corrupted this easily.
At that point, I’m fully aware my console is completely unstable, and all of theses signs makes me believe the CPU, at some points ,is sending shit.
But I’m unsure if this is truly the case, and wonder what I can do to find the real issue
Do you guys ever had to deal with a console with CPU dying ? Was it behaving like that ?
