Nintendo switch blue screen, maintenance mode not working

My nintendo switch is displaying a blue screen. iv tried entering maintenance mode by holding down both volume keys and pressing the power button but no luck. I disassembled down to the motherboard and did a quick look under an usb microscope but did not see anything obvious. What should i check next to troubleshoot this?

Thanks!

In most cases of blue screen it is a communication problem between SoC and one of the both RAM ics. Mostly because of broken bga connection under the SoC. Sometimes a reflow could help. But a propper solution would be a reballing.

Where would be a good place to find how to’s for performing these proceedures?

a repair professional or a shop.
search on Youtube you would find Switch CPU reball as well

just to mention too, fuel gauge is also an equal possibility for BSOD, then RAM then SoC and then far less likely the PMIC and finally EMMC issues. (and I’d tackle it in this order)

Might be worth posting a picture of the fuel gauge too just to rule this out… You could also put mild pressure on the Ram while prompting the console to boot and see if you have any change (and failing that the SoC)

Chances of you doing a successful reball of the SoC / Ram on your first go are slim to none I’m afraid and you’ll likely kill the the SoC in the process of removal.

Thank you for the help so far, and the honesty on the likelyhood of success haha. Ill post a pic in the next few days. Another question i have, in the event that the switch is not fixable by me, ia there any way to retrieve the memory from game saves?

if you have membership+cloud saves upload. yes
else if your console prod.key been saved elsewhere, yes.
else, No. savedata is encrypted
