No boot on battery and no screen. docked mode works

good evening.

i have a question regarding an issue i have with my nintendo switch.
so i modded my nintendo switch by replacing the housing to an all metal one, including the controllers. it worked perfectly fine before i started messing with it.

(well aware of the risks i take when messing with stuff but i just like modding stuff)

so i put it all together (after being apart for over 6 months), tested it before closing it up for good. found out the backlight was on but no image was showing. so i thought i had broken the screen or the flat cable since i had a bit of a fight getting it seated. ordered a new one and installed it but still have the same issue. i then also noticed it doesn’t boot without a charger connected i can hear sounds when i touch the screen or press a button on the controller.
when i put it in the dock it works just fine and shows an image on the TV (does show the battery and says it was at 97%), but on the switch itself i could only see the backlight come on for a moment.

i did a few basic checks:
charged the battery for over an hour to be sure. didn’t help.
checked battery voltage: 4.16V, so that is acceptable with no load applied.
i found a treath on this forum to check a few voltage related to the screen ( cant find it anymore) one was 5V and the other was -5V just as was mentioned. also the enable signal of 1.8V was present.

anyone has an idea what it can be or what i can check?

thanks in advance

A) Seems that the display connector has some bend pins.
B) If the battery is full and the Switch isn’t booting and only switch on for a second, I would assume a that the screen would show an empty battery.
But first I would check the display connector and fix it and than look after the battery issue.

good evening,

thanks for your reply. i ordered a few of those connectors in advance, they should arrive in the next few days and then we will see if my soldering skills are up to snuf.

will update you as soon as i replaced it.

thanks
