Just had a little near death experience with my first Switch. V1 launch day.
Tried to install a picofly “Core” version (For V1 and V2 boards) as it involves only 4 solder pints, hence more clean. Everything seemed to be working as hekate launched just right and was able to make an EmuNAND.
Launched EmuNAND: Orange Screen
Thought it was SD related, maybe a bad unit. Did all again with a new one, same result.
Launched Stock mode: Orange Screen
At this point I was about to attempt a reflow before ordering an stencil and new Wifi IC.
Just as a hail Mary tried removing everything, including the CPU flex.
IT WORKED AGAIN!
There was a small bridging from the SP1 point to the right next cap.
So turns out a solder bridge CAN also in fact produce this feared “Orange Screen of Death”.
Decided to publish this just in case anyone needed to read it.
