Hello , I have solder picofly on switch v2 and when I Start to boot I have back light but no image
But when I put in dock I have image ( in ofw)
But I touch the screen i hear the soundt’ of Nintendo switch

I have put picofly on 2 switch 2 same thing . …
I need help please :sob:

Sorry for My bad langage iam French

Did you check the lcd connector?

Yes I have swap the lcd connector and try other lcd . Same thing back light and no display but the Nintendo switch work on tv … . I think rp2040 have make short et broken one thing but I dont know what …

Is this a picofly or a pico zero?

Picofly from alie……
I have ever buy and install before and never problème but its new seller … maybe its bad chip

The picofly is only connected at the both SoC caps and the emmc connector with the board. I don’t see atm how it may effect the display.

Last week I had also a Switch without mod chip from a customer with no image but backlight on and displaying on via docking station. For testing I swapped the board to another shell and the display worked. After swapping it back, the original lcd was showing an image again.
Because the customer told that the Switch fell to the floor, I assumed that the system hangs somehow and the complete restart after replugging the battery solved the issue.

But I have install a lot picofly on switch and now with new pack picofly i have get last week 2 switch make same thing black screen back light ok touch screen ok , work on tv , ( in owf ) beacause in hekate hdmi dont work i know .
I dont understand why I get that
1 switch its from customer and I say in My head maybe the switch are get bad thing before its why it make that but ,
And 1 switch are new buy me on Amazon , never schoked , iam the first perso to open it and i try it before install the picofly

Maybe an obvious question, but do you have the same display issues with picofly removed?

Can you post pictures of your install & solder joints up close so we can inspect? Also LCD connector and general area for good measure.

Does your board revision have the filters nearby the LCD connector?

rails 1V8PDR and 3V3PDR too (if i recall correctly) is present on the lcd connector and are required for display, Picofly utilises these rails. Unlikely but maybe a bridge, dead short or partial short is dragging one of these rails down, low enough to prohibit display but enough for the console to boot… unlikely but we’ve seen boards here boot with a near dead short on 1V8PDR before.so worth checking… worth checking restitance to ground on these rails anyway given how poorly designed some of these modchips are incase one is low

Failing that it’d be looking at the usual suspects like the 8316 IC and/or support circuitry etc though can’t think why that would have failed unless you were hotplugging it…

Thanks you a lot for your answer I need try this tomorow
I have question maybe it’s juste bad glitch ?
Maybe I can restore the console ? In recovery mod ? Or other thing
Maybe bad firmware in rp2040 when I start the firstime
But now I have put last firmware in rp2040 same thing black screen back light work and work on hdmi

I have swap one ic 8316 ans alls cap and now the display work !! Yess but feez after Nintendo logo :unamused:

Nice :+1:

assuming it does the same in dock? if yes then best guess would be modchip issues and possibly EMMC issues as a result. did you make a backup?

I’m trying to reinstall the firmware on the Nand following a tutorial on YouTube, but I get the message Bad crypto!

Sorry I’m in the dark as to what yourt doing or what guide your following.

Bad crypto if i recall is when you don’t have the keys or the keys are invalid. Did you backup the EMMC or get the keys prior?

I fix it à réinstall firmware 18.1.0 and now she but in ofw ans cfw perfectly
