Hello, i have a controller JDM-055 Controler that oesn;t charge, i jumpstarted the battery and it turns on but it doesn’t charge i’ve already tried a new usb port and ribbon but no luck, there’s no shorts on the board, any ideas? Thanks
Believe or not, it needs to be reset.
1.) Charge it as much of a puddly amount
as it will accept.
2.) Unplug it.
3.) Find the tiny hole on the underside.
4.) Inside the hole is the Reset Button.
5.) Stick a pin or a thin paper clip into
that hole, push down the button, AND
hold it down for (20) seconds, then
release it. And be certain you can
feel the button moving—it’s very easy
to miss the button, and then you will
only be pushing the pin uselessly
against hard plastic without realizing it.
6.) Next, just to make sure, push the
Reset Button down again (3) or (4)
quick times.
7.) Plug the Controller back in to charge
it for (5) hours (it only needs (3) hours,
but give it some more time).
8.) Check it’s charge level. It should be
“Full”, or very close to “Full”.
This is not in the Sony//PlayStation
websites. I had tried many things one day,
and was about to order new rechargeable
cells for it, when in anger I decided to Reset it.
I didn’t think “Reset” would have anything
to do with battery charging—but it actually
fixed it.
