Hi. Trying to learn how to find faults on boards. I have a PS5 that was struck by lightning that didn’t power on. Power supply unit was bad so I replaced it with another. Now after reassembly, it powers on for about 10-12 seconds then powers off. I get 12v on the board where the psu goes and I checked stand by voltages via FixMyApp video, and tried UART which gave me a “power or short” error. (80802220) Since it powers on for 10-12 seconds. I don’t know where to look. A different psu? Checking all the fuses? I don’t have a DCPS or a thermal camera to test anything that way. Any help or insight is appreciated. Thank you!

I have the exact same issue. Coke was spilt down the back of this console EDM-010. Looks like it didn’t corrode anything after checking the board and PSU. Dumped all the errors then cleared them now only get 80802220 after pressing the power button and it turns off after 10 or so seconds. Checked all my voltages using FixMyApp video like you. I have a bench power supply and thermal camera so looking to inject voltage next. I’m a beginner at all this so I’m learning as I go.
