So I have a Switch first version. Charges only on one side of the USB. Dock doesn’t work. Checked all caps for shorts. None. Checked the USB - 2 loose connections. Fixed them, no change. Noticed that 3 of the 4 ground /mounting traces were broke. Decided to remove USB with hot air station. Heated from front side until it fell out. All but 2 traces on the second row left with the USB connector.
Guy I got it from said he has had it since new and this happened a year or so ago, the charging/dock issue. So on these early models. Can these traces tear off because of all the up and down wiggling from people trying to get it to charge?
