Switch USB-C replaced - Charging only 1 side - No Docking

(I recognize this topic has been discussed a few times but I am not finding the same solution and most of those topics were pretty old, so I thought I’d post a new one.)

Hey All,

New to fixing electronics. Have done a few mods in the past following instructions. Watched a ton of videos on fixing the switch. I have a number of them in, most need new usb-c ports due to mangled pins inside.

This current board is like that. I replaced the usb-c and didnt do a great job. Melted it a bit. Took that off and did it again and it all looks good this time. It is perhaps a bit close to the board, as I cant get to the inside pins from the underside.

Anyways, I got it on and charged and confirmed it was operating, except it only charges one way and no docking, because the way it wants to charge is backwards of the way it wants to go in the dock.

I have poured over this forum. I have checked all the CC lines and the esd protector on the bottom side thinking I charred it, but it is all reading correctly. All the diode readings of the pins on the usb c I can access read correct, including both CC lines. M92 chip area all reads as normal in diode compared to the schematic images I have found posted by Calvin and others on the forum. Same with the P13 chip area and the BQ chip area.

Looking inside my replacement port, it looked like the bottom may have melted ever so slightly over the metal bits exposed at the bottom on one side. I scrapped all the clean and confirmed no damaged pins. Still nothing on the one side. I only have a few replacement chips and no donor boards so I dont want to change things willy - nilly. Could easily be I didnt solder all the pins great on the underside of the USB-C, but if so would I still have both CC lines reading proper all the way up? I would appreciate any help! Thank you!!

TLDR:
-replaced usb-c but only charging one way, no docking
-confirmed CC lines and esd cc protector are reading per the schematics on this forum.
-confirmed exposed pins of USB-C read correctly
-confirmed diode readings around m92, p13, and bq per schematics.
-cleaned and cleaned and cleaned flux and inside port, etc.

Thank you!

I decided to reflow the connector and got it to charge both sides and dock. So a pin or two must not have been connected underneath.
