Hello everyone and best wishes
Come on, I’m looking for help with my weird problems on PS5. So I have one which when I plug it into my table power supply, indicates a consumption of 0A. All voltages are present with no apparent defects. What is surprising is that my uart does not work. Let me explain I connected the uart to the console as usual I put the card in the console and when I plug in the power socket. the uart normally lights up with a small red light, but nothing at all. As soon as I plug the cable from the computer into the uart, it lights up. However, it’s impossible to read anything. Everything is perfectly plugged in and connected, I do that almost every day^^. on the other hand when I plug the card with uart into the table power supply it lights up red and the green stays on for around 10 seconds, turns off for 2 seconds then turns back on for 10 seconds and so on. reading remains impossible. I noticed when the card is in the console that the voltage on the rx and tx point is only 2v. Any idea how to explain this voltage drop? Note that I did not find any short circuit.
thanks for your help
For communication the signal lines TX, RX need to be 3.3V.
What are the voltage readings on TX RX at the ps5 in standby and without the reader connected?
Is there a propper connection to GND if the reader is connected?
hi calvin
then without anything connected 3.3 v on rx and tx. On the other hand with the reader connected 2.2v and yet my connection to earth is perfect (I tried several points. On the other hand the reader works perfectly on other cards
I just did a little test, on a card that works I have a resistance of around 13kohms, while on the card that does not work I only have 7kohms. Note that the latter is the same with or without wifi module.
