Hello. Recently , after 4 years of using , my Xbox One S started to make a high RPM FAN. At first , i opened it and cleaned it . But , the problem still persisted. In the main menu, no noise,in minecraft no noise, but in other games…a lot . I talked with someone at a repair store near by ,and he changed the thermal paste , but no result. He suspects it might be a sensor for temperature. What do you guys think ?
Unless he did a bad job of replacing the thermal paste, that could be it. But before replacing any of the thermal sensors try replacing the fan.
Also, do you have at least 6 inches of ventilation on each side of the console?
Yes , indeed . I have space , that’s not a problem . I’ll suggest tomorrow the FAN being the problem, thank you mate .
