Purchased this xbox to fix. Took it apart and the only thing I noticed while inspecting the mobo was this area. Not sure what it was but i ended up cleaning the area an the only thing that stands out is around this ic mps2239. Looks like 1 of the resistor pad is missing (red arrow) and im not sure if theres resistors missing. It looks like there might be some pieces of resistors melted to some of the pads (red square). Not sure how to go about this fix. What would you guys do? I dont have a donor. Most likely have to change the ic some resistors seem to be shorted
I checked with different rev MB in same pmic area compared with schematic, those resistor values matches schematic, so they should be same on yours too
Man thank you looks like the resistor is still good just not making a connection with the pad. Its reading 150k but once i try to get reading on the pad nothing. Would you happen to have the values for the left side of that picture? Im getting some 0 ohms let me check real quick
Getting 0 ohms on r139 and r190 the others are really low but still seems fine. Also the resistors you marked in orange im getting almost 18k seems good
I checked everywhere and it seems like this is the only area im getting a short. Thank you again
R139 and R190 are 0 ohm from datasheet
Thanks if you have time can you link the schematic you’re referring too. Think im going see if ill jump that r132 to a ground tomorrow. Also im looking for the voltage test points. Looks like the other motherboards have the text on it which this 1 doesn’t and i was trying to compare it to the other revision but its a little different so im not sure where exactly these voltage tp
Ended up downloading the schematic online. At first i was looking at the wrong schematic (santos) that said that resistor end goes to ground. Found the right schematic that says it connects to v12po memoophysoc sensed. Going to have to repair the trace and i ordered some resistors since i dont have a donor board. Also ordered a new ic incase
Definitely tore a pad off ended up taking the resistor out to get better look. Hoping this is the issue
